About Our Victoria Service

A Moving Company That Knows Victoria

Victoria is BC’s capital and one of Canada’s most popular places to live, from young professionals downtown to retirees in Oak Bay. People move here for government and healthcare jobs, to study at the University of Victoria or Camosun College, or for the mild climate and ocean views. Whatever brings you here, Haulsy Moving gives you a dependable, well-organized crew from the first box to the last piece of furniture.

We provide local moving, apartment and condo moves, house moves and office relocations throughout Greater Victoria. Every booking includes a professional crew, a clean moving truck, furniture blankets, dollies, straps and standard disassembly and reassembly — so there are no surprise add-ons on moving day.

Moving between the Island and the mainland? Our long-distance movers handle Victoria to Vancouver moves, including the ferry crossing, and longer moves across BC and Alberta.

Local Moving Tips

What to Know Before Moving in Victoria

These are the local details we plan around so your Victoria move stays on schedule and on budget.

Heritage and character homes

Fairfield, Rockland, James Bay and Fernwood are full of older homes with narrow staircases, tight doorways and original floors. We plan the route through the house, protect floors and banisters, and disassemble furniture where needed.

Ferry moves to and from the mainland

Moves between Victoria and Vancouver go through BC Ferries' Swartz Bay terminal. We plan around sailing times and book the truck's crossing so your belongings arrive the same day whenever possible.

Downtown parking and loading

Street parking downtown and in James Bay is tight. Check with your building or the City about reserving space for the truck, and we'll confirm the best loading spot during your quote.

West Shore traffic

Moves to Langford and Colwood use the Trans-Canada Highway, which backs up at rush hour. We schedule loading around peak traffic to keep your hours down.

Student move-in season

Late August and the end of April are busy around the University of Victoria and Camosun College. Book early if you're moving near Gordon Head, Cadboro Bay or Lansdowne.

Wet winters

From November to March, rain is part of most Island moves. We bring extra floor runners, plastic wrap and mattress bags to keep furniture, floors and boxes dry.
